I find solace in the simplicity of form by allowing the organic nature of clay and the elegance of minimalistic design. I strive to create functional pottery that integrates into everyday life while nurturing an appreciation for the organic beauty around us.
Over the last 14 years, I have explored my appreciation and love for ceramics. I first started working in ceramics at the age of 14 as a freshman in high school. I fell in love with the art form and over the course of the years, I have worked to incorporate it into my everyday life. My unique experiences of learning ceramics at a young age has offered me opportunities to explore and refine my work, and to truly bring functional handmade ware to life.
I originally grew up in upstate New York, and upon attending college, I moved to Missouri, and have spent most of my adult life living in various cities in the Midwest. I moved to Raleigh in 2021. Being in North Carolina has brought inspiration into my artwork, and I am excited to share it all with you.
My studio is located out of my home in downtown Raleigh. I currently teach ceramics classes at Ceramica in Cary, North Carolina, and you can find my pieces online at my website, or locally at various art markets around town.
